Mentor Appreciation

During a quarterly meeting this year we had a great learning activity planned for our mentors here at Heritage Crossings by stepping outside the box. The theme was “Mad Hatters”. Each mentor chose a hat and was instructed to decorate it to depict the positive and negative mentoring experiences they have had in the past year. After the fun of decorating, the mentors modeled their hats and explained why they decorated it as they had. We then had discussion on how we could learn and grow from those experiences.

In the past month we honored our mentors by displaying the picture poster on the team recognition board. We presented them with a mentor mug filled with goodies and a personalized card with messages from the mentor champion, administrator and their supervisor at our all staff in-service on Thursday, February 19.   We are indeed blessed at Heritage Crossings to have such a wonderful group of mentors who believe in “Building the Best of the Best” in our new team members.
